After Meeting My Online Date in Person Alone

[A sweet, fluffy story about everyday life. Read with confidence.]

At the new-student orientation ceremony, Shen Wu noticed that the handsome senior Yu Cong, who was giving a speech as the student representative, was wearing the one-of-a-kind bracelet he'd given to his online boyfriend.

And so, by a twist of fate, they ended up meeting in real life, though only one of them knew it.

-

Shen Wu was all sweet talk online, calling Yu Cong “big brother” this and “big brother” that, while at school he hid behind a secret identity and quietly observed him.

The cafeteria, the basketball court, the library...

He soon concluded that the online boyfriend he'd gotten for free was easy on the eyes, did well in class, played basketball well, and didn't have many friends or flirt with anyone.

But after watching him so much, Shen Wu was quickly mistaken for one of the handsome senior's newly emerging admirers.

-

Yu Cong ran into Shen Wu face-to-face for the first time.

With a cool expression, he said, “I already like someone.”

But later on...

Yu Cong dragged Shen Wu back when he tried to run away after his secret identity was exposed. “Who said we were breaking up?”

Su Yao has been short on money lately, so he reluctantly takes a paid job: pretend to be someone's online boyfriend, meet up with the guy in real life, then tell him they're breaking up. Easy enough.

He doesn't think it'll be difficult.

So even though the man who shows up at the cafe is tall and handsome, he still turns him down three times in a row.

“Sorry, I'm not really satisfied with you.”

“You're not quite what I imagined.”

“Let's break up.”

“...”

Lu Yanfei quickly grabs Su Yao as he tries to slip away. His voice is cool, but his words are intimate: “Be good. Stop messing around and tell me what you're unhappy with.”

-

Because Lu Yanfei told on them, his childhood friends Qi Yang and the others all had their allowances cut off by their families.

Furious, they decide to get back at him. They create a new account and spend their free time learning pickup lines online so they can flirt with him.

But they take it too far, and Lu Yanfei gets serious. They can see that this is about to get out of hand, and none of them will get off easy.

Their desperate need to survive kicks in. They hurry to find a guy whose virtual persona matches the character they've invented. They have only one requirement:

Dump Lu Yanfei.

-

Money that isn't earned honestly is hard to keep. Su Yao learns this the hard way.

He really can't shake Lu Yanfei.

After being hounded for over half a month and nearly getting himself caught up in it, he decides to return the money and come clean.

But for some reason, he can't get in touch with the person who hired him!

So Lu Yanfei refuses to believe him. “Even if you can come up with an excuse like that, it still won't work.”

Su Yao: “!”
