[Dream of the Red Chamber] The Weak Waters Chapter

This story is not recorded in Cao Gong's copy of The Story of the Stone. Rather, after the stubborn stone left behind by the Goddess Nüwa when she mended the sky had finished its worldly entanglements, it returned to Green Ridge Peak to continue its cultivation. Several hundred years later, it suddenly came to a realization and shed its flaws, its rough stone becoming jade. But who could have guessed that the story carved into its surface, about what happened after the Spiritual Jade left the world, would fall away?

Later, a reclusive Taoist from Zhongnan Mountain, a wild crane who happened to pass by, found it by chance. Unable to bear the thought of this bizarre tale being lost without an ending, he copied it into a book and wrote this work to tell the world.

Theme: The Dream of the Red Chamber continues, but karma is hard to escape.
