His words, "I love you," sent ripples across her heart, frozen for so long. She lowered her eyes, not even daring to meet his gaze, and clutched the sides of her skirt tightly, struggling to calm herself. At last, she asked evenly, "You say you love me, but how much do you love me?"

He answered in a low voice, "I love you enough to live for you, die for you, and give up everything for you."
