Two police detectives investigate cases, with the romance and detective plots unfolding in parallel.

Gu Jin said, "My mom had me when she was young. When she passed away, she was about your age. So when I first met you, I felt an instant connection. It was like... seeing her. I didn't remember this before, but after meeting you, it suddenly came back to me."

"What came back to you?"

"I remembered that when I was little, my mom was so busy with work that she sometimes took me to the police station. She'd interrogate suspects in the interview room while I watched her through the glass from the adjoining room with her colleagues. The serious, focused look she had when questioning suspects was exactly like yours. Don't you think we're fated to meet?"

Su Han gazed silently at Gu Jin. After a long pause, she said, "Then you can think of me as your mom from now on."

"Whoa." He smiled, his eyes curving. "Taking advantage of me like that?"

"How is that taking advantage of you?" Su Han asked, puzzled. "Didn't you say you felt an instant connection with me? That we were fated to meet? If you think of me as your mom, then everything works out perfectly."

"Fine, all right." Gu Jin smiled and nodded helplessly. "It's truly an honor."

Both leads are strong, and both are each other's first and only.
