The blurb for my upcoming novel, Who Says Farming Can't Save the World, is below.
Synopsis:
After dying in a plane crash and transmigrating into another world, Shen Yuqing finds herself stranded in the wilderness. Her eyesight is also acting up, and she keeps seeing what looks like ghostly scribbles.
When Shen Yuqing encounters a spirit beast:
The livestream comments she mistakes for ghostly scribbles: (screaming) (covering their eyes) (can't bear to look)
Shen Yuqing, who has a druid's constitution, instinctively hugs the enormous dog that pounces at her. "Easy now, good doggy~"
The cultivators sending comments are dazed: I must still be dreaming. Someone can actually subdue a ferocious beast?
When Shen Yuqing cooks for the spirit beasts:
Everyone watching the livestream: Impossible! How could a ferocious beast be tamed?
The spirit beast wolfs down every last bite of her cooking, then rubs against her.
Everyone: We bow before you, mighty one.
When Shen Yuqing raises two spirit beasts together:
Everyone watching the livestream: Impossible! Ferocious beasts are territorial. They'll fight to the death!
The two spirit beasts are so addicted to cuddling with humans that they're terrified of being kicked out, so they get along beautifully.
Everyone: Mighty one, please accept this humble disciple's bow.
Shen Yuqing's livestream spreads among the cultivators, drawing the heads of sects from all over to watch.
At first, the sect leaders scoff, thinking their juniors have become obsessed with entertainment because the spiritual energy is depleted and they can't advance in cultivation.
Then they see peerless spirit plants, ten-thousand-year-old spirit beasts, and spiritual energy so dense it could help someone in the Deity Transformation stage break through to the Tribulation stage.
The entire cultivation world is thrown into a frenzy, desperately searching for this secret realm.
Until she meets a second living person, Shen Yuqing is convinced she's transmigrated into an ordinary ancient world.
The animals here are huge, but just like the animals from her old world, they're gentle and adorable. The mute boy she picks up is so well-behaved that he makes her heart ache with affection.
A hopelessly directionless person, Shen Yuqing never manages to leave the forest with its single house, and never suspects she's in a secret realm in the cultivation world.
Then cultivators carrying paper talismans, swords, and musical instruments descend from the sky, shattering her entire worldview.
Shen Yuqing furrows her brow, wondering how to hide the spirit beasts and boy she's brought home. "What should I do? My sweethearts are adorable and delicate. They definitely can't beat this bunch of cultivators."
The "delicate" spirit beasts, who can crush an entire crowd of cultivators: Yip yip yip~ (Don't worry, Qingqing. If even one of them dares to come, we'll beat up two.)
The obedient boy looks at the cultivators, ready to drive them out of the secret realm.
The cultivators pinned beneath the spirit beasts like Mount Tai weakly ask: "Mighty one... care to form an alliance? We're your fans!"
Shen Yuqing, looking bewildered: ? Well, here's the thing. I'm actually an ordinary person. (hesitates to speak)
Reader's Guide:
This novel is complete. If you've already read it, please don't buy it again.
1. A sweet 1v1 romance. Raising fluffy creatures and falling in love should each take up about half the story. The heroine is a kind, sunny girl; the hero is pure-hearted and gentle, and mute at first.
2. Cultivation ranks: Human race (mortal, Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Deity Transformation, Great Ascension, Tribulation and Ascension). The beast race has ranks one through seven, followed by Tribulation and Ascension. At rank four, equivalent to the human Golden Core stage, beasts can choose to transform into demons or become spirit beasts.
3. This is a slice-of-life story with almost no villains. I hope you enjoy reading it and come away feeling warm inside.

Who Says Farming Can't Save the World
Agriculture student Wei Liyan transmigrates into ancient times and gets a farming System. She thinks she's on the road to success, but the System shatters her dream.
If she can't survive several years of devastating blizzards, she'll die alongside the people of this world.
Wei Liyan: (instinctively leaning back) All right. If I want to live, I'll grind!
From the start, Wei Liyan is frail and has no money to her name, but she silently pulls out a hoe.
High-yield crops? Unlocked.
Special medicinal plants? Unlocked.
Advanced technology? Unlocked!
After so many missions she can barely see straight, Wei Liyan looks around at the people, thin as rakes, and gives them a kindly (menacing) smile.
Wei Liyan suddenly whips out upgraded crops: "Want a job? Meals included!"
The lightless eyes of the crowd blaze with a yearning to live. "We're in!"
And so, amid natural disasters, people find peace of mind, and patches of vibrant green spring up across the barren land.
The people who nearly starved to death: "Sob! Miss Wei must be a goddess sent from heaven!"
Wei Liyan, who was only exhausted from grinding and wanted help with her missions: OvO?
She watches everyone become so absorbed in farming that they can't stop, volunteering for overtime.
Wei Liyan blinks and looks worriedly at her nation's Imperial Preceptor. "Is it really okay for them to work like this?"
Xie Chenyuan, usually cool and distant, gives her a gentle smile, like snow melting in spring. "How could anything be wrong? They're happy. Your arrival saved us."
The year Xie Chenyuan became Imperial Preceptor, he swore: "I dedicate my life to protecting Daqing. May peace reign beneath heaven, and may the seas be calm and the rivers clear."
That same winter, blizzards swept across the land and continued for months.
Xie Chenyuan watched the people perish and the nation collapse, and eventually died in the blizzard himself.
Unable to bear this hell on earth, he opened his eyes and found himself back on the day he was appointed Imperial Preceptor.
Yet after countless cycles and disasters both natural and man-made, he still couldn't save Daqing and its people.
Death became a tool, used only to seek a perfect ending.
Until, in one cycle, he was saved by Miss Wei, who had survived the summer for the first time.
She said she'd chosen a courtesy name: Liyan.
She said she understood what he sought, and that they both sought the same thing.
She said, "I want to be your support and share your burdens."
Theme: No matter what happens, always love life
Wouldn't eating just a vegetarian diet be nutritious enough?)
