The Golden Eagle and the Beagle

[]

Zhou Ruijing wakes up one morning to discover that he has not only become the beagle of Xie Wensheng, his stand-in lover, but that the doctor has also snipped off his balls, turning him into a little eunuch dog.

From then on, all he can do around Xie Wensheng is rage helplessly.

Actually, the two of them were just in a perfectly ordinary relationship based on money.

Zhou Ruijing's unrequited love was studying abroad, and unable to bear the loneliness, he found someone who looked about fifty or sixty percent like his crush and started playing out a stand-in romance. But he never let his feelings go too far, always keeping things proper. He simply kept Xie Wensheng around like a collectible figurine.

They had not even held hands.

Before Zhou Ruijing turned into a dog, his Xie Wensheng had a slim waist and a slender frame, so frail he seemed liable to break in a breeze.

His unrequited love posted a photo to his social media: dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, seated in a concert hall and playing the cello, he looked so dignified and elegant.

After Zhou Ruijing turned into a dog, Xie Wensheng had a ripped eight-pack and a chest bigger than his own face. He could smash his unrequited love's cello with a single punch.

And whenever his unrequited love felt like it, he would play the erhu beside Zhou Ruijing's hospital bed while Zhou was in a vegetative state.

When Xie Wensheng was Zhou Ruijing's kept man, Zhou poured countless resources into getting him noticed by the public, but he never became more than a middling name in showbiz.

After Zhou Ruijing became his dog, Xie Wensheng suddenly claimed countless top trending spots and shot to fame. Offers from every corner of the industry poured in.

Wearing sunglasses, Zhou Ruijing the beagle proudly lifted his head to greet the flashing cameras.

Hmph. A beagle deserves to be the center of the world!

The gong, Xie Wensheng, diligently plays the stand-in and dutifully takes care of his dog.

The shou, Zhou Ruijing, lets loose his canine instincts and goes out of his way to be a little menace.
