Chen Jinnan pulls a handful of lollipops from his pocket.
Jiang Mi does not take one. “Go. There's no chance for us.”
Chen Jinnan glares at her darkly. Clutching the ring hidden in his sleeve, he snaps, “I'm crazy, and I really did come here on purpose in winter. Don't think I'm here to pursue you, and don't you dare fall for me again.”
Jiang Mi: “Okay.”

Jiang Mi's rejection is obvious, and she assumes that someone as arrogant as Chen Jinnan will never bring up getting back together again.
The day after their work together ends, she finds Chen Jinnan at her door, his eyes red and swollen.
He holds the ring out in both hands. “Can you please not leave? I'll fucking die.”
Jiang Mi does not say yes.
She returns to work with the tour group. She falls behind during the expedition, and the pitch-black polar night descends. Unable to save herself, she succumbs to the cold in the snow.
Chen Jinnan appears, carrying a lamp. “Do you want to wait here to die, or come with me?”
Chen Jinnan takes Jiang Mi back to the tour group, nearly losing his life in the process.
In the storm and polar night, he kisses her cheek. “Let's get back together.”
The lamplight falls on the scarred face of the man. It is the gentlest scar Jiang Mi has ever seen, and the lamp shines bright.
Jiang Mi does not know that the arrogant bad dog who swore he would never beg for love spent the whole night crying outside her door with a ring in his hand.
In the storm and polar night, through the swamps and mire, someone will always come with a lamp to save you.
