The Handsome Stepmother of the Male Lead in a Period Novel [Transmigration]

When Jiang Wan woke up, she discovered that she had not only transmigrated into a book, but also had a fifteen-year-old son.

Her husband was busy with work, her in-laws lived in the capital, and her stepson attended boarding school. She lived alone in a big house, free to do as she pleased with plenty of money to spend. Life was simply wonderful.

What's more, her stepson was the male lead of a period novel, destined to achieve great things. She planned to curry favor with him whenever her bargain son came home on weekends.

But when she saw him, she was stunned. In the middle of winter, he was wearing a threadbare cotton-padded jacket, washed pale, and a pair of thin shoes. His face was blue with cold.

Jiang Wan nearly fainted. I'm done for!

Fortunately, she could still make things right. Jiang Wan pulled herself together and started buying everything her stepson needed, while making all kinds of delicious food and sending it to him to win him over.

And so Jiang Wan gained dozens of “stepsons and stepdaughters” at the boarding school.

Later, the man who was hardly ever home saw his son and couldn't help frowning. “Shouldn't you lose some weight?”

Three months later, his son replied expressionlessly, “Dad, shouldn't you lose some weight too?”

The man remained unfazed. “This is your mom's love for me. You're just jealous.”

Jiang Wan watched the two of them bicker like children with an exasperated look, but she couldn't wipe the smile from her face.

She thought that the life she had now was one she could never have achieved through a lifetime of hard work. All she did was casually make them something to eat when she was in the mood, and she was perfectly happy with everything she had.
