After Being Dumped, She Turned Back into Wood

Tan Ke was a piece of wood, carved into a little puppet.

The little puppet was held in the hands of a lovely little boy with skin as smooth as jade and features as delicate as carved powder.

The little boy was always bullied in the cultivation world, and he regarded the little puppet as his only family.

Things that are loved grow flesh and blood like crazy.

So, beneath the hazy moonlight one night, seven-year-old Jin Yan saw the wooden puppet in his hand transform into a beautiful young woman.

Tan Ke was a piece of wood, but she was a piece of wood from the World-Founding Jianmu.

They depended on each other, making it through the hardest years of childhood together. She saw the demonic flames raging within the boy, yet used her powers time and again to counteract his fate, watching him become the only god in the cultivation world.

But by then, the white moonlight he had adored as a child had also come to join him.

So he abandoned Lan Ke and chose to become cultivation partners with his white moonlight.

The day before the binding ceremony, Lan Ke turned back into a puppet. She lost all awareness and perception as a living being...

Things that are loved grow flesh and blood like crazy. Things that aren't loved become lifeless objects again.

They say the Lady of Jianmu cut off a piece of her own sacred trunk and sent it to the mortal realm to aid the chosen one of fate in saving all living beings. If successful, the sacred wood would also earn great merit and fortune, and prove its Dao.

Unfortunately, the sacred wood failed.

Later, a god went to seek an audience with the Lady of Jianmu. He traded his soul for the sacred wood's awakening.

The sacred wood once again transformed into a young woman, and found the next chosen one of fate.

She was going to choose someone else and walk the path to proving her Dao all over again.

She didn't know that the god she'd forgotten was following right beside her, watching her and the new young man.

A melodramatic story, extremely melodramatic. Blurb is tentative. Written on 2024.3.23
