Ji Yu, a high school senior with a miserable background, no money, and a daily dose of school bullying, was browsing a paranormal forum one day when he happened upon a job listing. It asked him to deliver takeout in a place called Ghost City.
This so-called delivery job meant delivering everything except food and drinks. The most eye-catching line read: [We deliver the truth, we deliver warmth, and we'll even deliver you straight to hell.]
What kind of pervert had posted the listing wasn't something he needed to worry about for now. What about the pay? It wasn't mentioned.
Ji Yu smiled. No pay meant no economic foundation, and without an economic foundation, what was the point of talking politics? He wasn't going. Absolutely not. He resolutely picked up his Five Years of College Entrance Exams and Three Years of Mock Exams.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, he caught the words below.
[But if you become the MVP of your organization, you'll get to meet the Dark God in person. He can grant one wish: whether you want to get into Tsinghua or Peking University, or get rich overnight, marry a beautiful, wealthy woman, and reach the pinnacle of life, the Dark God can make it happen with supernatural powers. If you can dream it, we'll make it happen. Join us today. We can't wait to have you, dear!]
His life was already a complete mess, so maybe he could be that MVP. Maybe his wish really would come true. So Ji Yu clicked the mouse.
