[Early work]
Li Haomian never imagined she'd act alongside Zhou Shiyu.
Zhou Shiyu had won every major award before stepping away from the spotlight to enter the world of business. No one expected him to star in an art film.
Their first scene together was a kissing scene, but Li Haomian couldn't get into character.
The director looked displeased but said nothing. Zhou Shiyu gave her a distant smile and told her there was no need to rush.
Only Li Haomian knew why she was distracted.
Because it was Zhou Shiyu, the man she'd loved since she was seventeen.
She'd never planned to let anyone know she loved him.
But she was the only one who thought she'd hidden it well.
A prey running ahead never sees the hunter's gun.

One night, after tossing and turning countless times, Li Haomian pushed open the glass door to the hotel balcony, hoping the fresh air would clear her head.
It was a drizzly night. Neon lights glowed from a landmark building in the distance. Just as Li Haomian was pulling her pajamas closer around herself, a deep, pleasant voice came from beside her: "Aren't you afraid a reporter will photograph you?"
The rainy night was damp, and the scent of the sea drifted over from afar.
Li Haomian met Zhou Shiyu's gaze in the darkness and asked, "If we're both standing out here, Mr. Zhou, aren't you afraid reporters will photograph us and start a rumor?"
Zhou Shiyu rested both arms casually on the balcony railing. His handsome, classically elegant features were half-lit, half-shadowed in the night. He looked at Li Haomian for a long moment, then replied in a measured voice, "I'm not afraid." Two seconds later, he added, "You don't have to be, either."
The patter of rain fell into Li Haomian's heart.
At the wrap party, the director was half-drunk. Smiling, he told Li Haomian, "A Yu watched your performance. He was the one who specifically recommended you to me."
Li Haomian looked at Zhou Shiyu in surprise, but he only smiled calmly and said, "You're very good at acting."
Li Haomian's heart skipped a beat. She met Zhou Shiyu's deep gaze, unsure whether he meant more than his words suggested.
Later, the two met again at a private gathering. Zhou Shiyu suddenly asked Li Haomian to get him a drink.
Li Haomian politely asked what he wanted.
Zhou Shiyu watched her impassively and named a brand of liquor. "Don't you already know what I like?"

* There's not much about the entertainment industry. The setting is fictional and unrelated to reality, with no allusions to real people or events.
* One-sided feelings become mutual. The male lead is a flirt, and the two test and tease each other.
Theme: May you sleep well on rainy days.
Huh!!! The male protagonist is [scared]
It feels like the male protagonist knew early on that the female protagonist had a crush on him?
