Blurb to be decided. I'll start writing as soon as I finish the outline. Anyone who plagiarizes or extensively borrows from my original worldbuilding can go to hell with their whole family.
Notes and content warnings
■ Typo corrections in Chapter 1: ① The Upper Border Pass, as the name suggests, is where the celestial immortals and celestial gods reside. For anyone else, being there is forbidden. (Changed "lower" to "upper".)
② After walking for a while, they stopped, exhausted. The mud stains on the lake-blue clothes had grown worse. (The latter half was changed to: "The lake-blue clothes she was wearing had acquired several fresh, thick smears of mud.")
③ Only if he had no other choice could he use his Flower-Urging Art to force Yang Shiyue to kill him. (Changed "his" to "could" and added "kill him" afterward.)
④ Xuchen Tower declined because its kingdom fell and its palace became rubble, leading to the deaths of all the gods in Xuchen Tower. (Added text and removed the two characters meaning "this reason.")
The original publication date of Chapter 1 remains unchanged as proof of authorship.
■ ① Celestial immortals are immortals above the heavens, in other words, those who dwell at the Upper Border Pass.
Earthly immortals are immortals beneath the heavens, in other words, those who wander the Lower Border Pass and the mortal realm.
(The same applies to gods.)
② Only celestial immortals have divine towers. When their divine tower disappears, celestial immortals become earthly immortals and can no longer stay at the Upper Border Pass. They can only remain in the mortal realm or the Lower Border Pass. That's why everyone at the Upper Border Pass hopes their divine tower will last as long as possible.
(The same applies to gods.)
③ Each divine tower must have at least one celestial immortal and one celestial god. If either is missing, the divine tower will disappear.
■ Immortals are immortals, and gods are gods. They are not the same kind of being.
How one becomes a celestial immortal: After a person dies, they become a ghost. If people enshrine them after death and establish a place of worship for them, the ghost can become a celestial immortal.
Earthly immortals: Their divine tower disappears, and all the celestial gods die.
How one becomes a god: Anyone with divine power can become one. Divine power comes in two kinds: celestial god power (benevolent thoughts) and earthly god power (malevolent thoughts).
Celestial gods with benevolent divine power: They are born through people's enshrinement ceremonies.
Earthly gods with malevolent divine power: Celestial immortals die, and their divine towers disappear, turning them into earthly gods; criminals beaten to death; or those who become gods through unorthodox means.
(Note: After Zhu Xuchen became a celestial immortal, he continued to pretend to be a mortal and go around asking people to enshrine him. He did this to be enshrined again and help Xuchen Tower rise once more.)
If the place where people enshrined a celestial immortal while they were alive is lost, all the celestial gods in their divine tower will die. (Xuchen Tower is the only exception in all of history. After all the gods in the tower died, could one celestial god really have miraculously survived? Is that even possible? That's why Xuchen Tower didn't disappear!!!)
