The Cannon Fodder and the Male Lead Got a Bad Ending

One day, Qi Wei discovers that he is a cannon-fodder character in a male-lead power-up anime. In half a month, his entire family will be slaughtered, all so the protagonist's group can enter a cultivation sect without a hitch.

Qi Wei: Do I really have to let my family get wiped out?

As he struggles to change his fate and avoid becoming cannon fodder, Qi Wei discovers that he seems to have spectacularly become the anime's greatest villain, destined to be killed by the male lead's sword.

Qi Wei: ??? Male lead, you promised you wouldn't kill me!!!

Qi Wei traded a favor for a promise from Jing Yu.

Jing Yu could never kill him. Never, ever.

But in the end, Jing Yu only refrained from killing him.

Note: Qi Wei is not a good person! Don't judge him by normal standards of good and evil! No insults!
