[Blurb]:
This year marks the eighth year Song Zhuo has spent trying and failing to win over Cang Bowen.
Faced with the choice of continuing the mission or giving up, Song Zhuo ultimately chose to give up.
Before leaving this world, Song Zhuo let out her anger by saying, “Cang Bowen, the truth is, I never liked you at all.”
Cang Bowen was holding Song Zhuo's corpse when he heard this, his eyes vacant and bewildered.
Seeing him like that, Song Zhuo smiled happily.
After returning to her original world, Song Zhuo learned from the System, to her surprise, that Cang Bowen had gone mad.
He asked everyone he met whether they knew her.
Song Zhuo was delighted when she heard the news. At least it made up for eight years of throwing herself at someone who wouldn't give her the time of day.
“Cang Bowen, we're even now.”

Later, Song Zhuo received another mission to win someone over.
Since it was set in a xianxia world again, she accepted.
Before leaving, Song Zhuo silently prayed, “I hope this time my target is a little less trouble.”
As it turned out, she got her wish.
This target was so easy to deal with, his favorability was already at 90 from the start.
“I've hit the jackpot,” Song Zhuo thought with delight.
She thought she'd finish this mission in no time.
Who could have known that Yue Shilan's favorability would stop increasing once it reached 98?
Song Zhuo spent another three years trying to gain those last two points.
But when she remembered that it had taken her eight years to win over Cang Bowen, she told herself to be patient.

One day, it happened to be Yue Shilan's birthday.
The two gazed at each other affectionately in the candlelight.
Just as Song Zhuo was getting a little tipsy, her junior fellow disciple Yue Shilan leaned in and gritted out by her ear, “Senior Sister, you do like me after all.”
“Mm, I like you,” Song Zhuo replied instinctively, trying to soothe him.
When she came to her senses, she finally seemed to understand.
“You... you... you're... Cang Bowen...”
