[Coming Soon!]
Zhuang Yan transmigrated into the body of a farmer's son. His parents had died young, and his older brother and sister-in-law were cruel. Unwilling to be their free punching bag, he decisively split from the family. With nothing but a dilapidated shack and a thin strip of land, he began his life as a farmer.
Just as he'd settled into his new life, he picked up a little fool who could barely speak and did nothing but cling to his arm and call him husband...
Zhuang Yan was an orphan, and his greatest dream in life was to have a home of his own. He worked himself to the bone to make that dream come true, and at last, at the age of twenty-eight, he bought his own house in Shen City.
Perhaps fate had other plans. The day he got the keys, he was in a car accident. When he opened his eyes again, he was in a drafty woodshed, with a woman pointing at his nose and yelling at him.
Had he... transmigrated?
After a brief moment of sorrow, Zhuang Yan chose to accept reality. At least he was alive. As the saying goes, as long as the green hills remain, there will be firewood to burn. He could always start over.
It was just that his current circumstances were truly dire. The original owner of this body, like him, had lost his parents at a young age and lived with his older brother and sister-in-law. His brother was a coward, and his sister-in-law was vicious. They treated him as free labor, beating and scolding him at the slightest excuse. He never once ate his fill all year, and even in a downpour, they forced him up the mountain to gather mushrooms. In the end, he died.
Zhuang Yan gritted his teeth. He wasn't the original owner, and now that he'd transmigrated here, this family wasn't going to take another advantage of him. Splitting the family, severing ties: neither step could be skipped.
Once he'd escaped his awful relatives, Zhuang Yan immediately set out to start a business. He might not know much, but he was good at drawing plans. Back in his old life, he had at least been a designer with some renown in the industry.
And so, a new trend swept through Yong'an Town. If a family didn't own at least one or two pieces of furniture designed by Master Zhuang, they were almost embarrassed to claim they lived well.
By selling his designs, Zhuang Yan soon achieved his goal of owning a house and land.
Just as life was settling down and he was thinking of buying a shop to grow his business, he went out and found a little fool. The child was filthy and could barely speak, but clung to his arm and refused to let go. The little fool's family was a den of wolves, too. They insisted that the child had been intimate with Zhuang Yan and demanded that he marry him. When Zhuang Yan refused, they threatened to drown the little fool in a pond.
The little fool was small and skinny, clinging to him pitifully and refusing to let go. Zhuang Yan's heart softened, and he brought him home as his husband, beginning the long road of raising a child.
Life together seemed pretty good. The little fool sweetly called him husband and threw his arms around him whenever he came home. Gradually, whenever the little fool called him husband, he'd blush shyly...
