Blurb:
[Wolf and Rabbit | Fake Siblings | Gentle and Well-Behaved x Ruthless]
Congjia first met Jiang Yin while studying abroad in the United States. One day, she and a friend accidentally wandered into a dangerous area and found themselves caught in the middle of a riot.
In the dark, noisy chaos of the uprising, she was terrified out of her wits.
Amid the mayhem, she stumbled into the man's sturdy embrace.
With a face like a demon, the man stood as steady as a mountain in the out-of-control chaos, holding a gleaming silver knife. No one dared approach him.
In her panic, Congjia clutched his clothes and looked up at him with soft eyes. "Please save me."
The young man lowered his eyes, gazing at the girl's frail, panicked face. The cold blade in his hand lifted her delicate chin.
As she stared at him in terror, he slowly moved the knife to her slender neck. He smiled viciously, as if he were about to devour her. "Pretty women don't survive here."
Congjia was terrified. She pressed her trembling lips together, tears poised in her eyes but not yet falling. With her rosy lips and pearly teeth, she looked so fragile that anyone would feel sorry for her.
Jiang Yin saved her.
Jiang Yin was the eldest young master of the Qin family, yet he had been sent to the United States as a child. His passport was confiscated and his financial support cut off, leaving him stranded there for over a decade. Growing up in a place full of all kinds of people, he developed a ruthless and sinister way of handling things.
Everyone feared him, everyone was wary of him. Only Congjia didn't know she was walking straight into a tiger's den.
The next time she saw Jiang Yin, the man was lying in a pool of blood, stabbed several times. He looked like the King of Hell had returned to the world, and no one dared come within a few feet of him.
Though her heart was in turmoil, Congjia still found the courage to repay the life debt she owed him.
She saved Jiang Yin, brought him back to China, and gave him a new identity and a new life.
The dignified eldest young master of the Qin family lowered himself to become the personal bodyguard of the beloved young lady of the Shen family. Qin's father was disgusted and threatened to disown him.
Jiang Yin didn't care. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to being Congjia's bodyguard.
Congjia took Jiang Yin in. Everyone looked down on him, but she alone never despised him and treated him well.
But she never expected that her kindness would be repaid with betrayal, ultimately bringing about the downfall of the Shen family.
Congjia hated him, hated him so much she wanted to kill him. For the first time in her life, she raised a knife and swung it at Jiang Yin.
The tip of the blade pointed straight at Jiang Yin's heart. Tears streamed down her face. "Jiang Yin, I hate you!"
By then, the man had become a god of slaughter, his eyes filled with murderous intent. He looked coldly at the girl who could barely hold a knife and shouted, "Jiang Nian, your surname is Jiang."
Congjia's surname was not Shen.
