The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Holidays with Hags, The Adventures of Martin Miggs, the Mad Muggle... These were the childhood books of young witches and wizards in the Wizarding World.
But Ashlin's childhood reading list also included Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Journey to the West... These were the books Muggle children grew up with.
"So, I mean, I'm a witch. Why can't I have a witch's tower?"
Ashlin said suddenly, sitting on the windowsill in Ravenclaw Tower.
"A medieval witch, just like the Muggles imagine. That's a great career plan," Emmold said with a smile.
"I'll live in the forest, too. I can disguise my tower as a giant tree, so no one will ever find it. That would be amazing!"
Note:
Feel free to point out typos. I'm a perfectionist, but I can still miss things in plain sight.
Cedric lives, and the Black brothers survive. It's fanfiction, so I'm giving myself a little creative license.
Ashlin is in the same year as the older twins and three years above Harry.
The romance starts around the Goblet of Fire, with a handsome Beauxbatons boy. There will be dates before then.
Mostly everyday school life.
I got the idea because I thought of the fantasy movies I loved as a child, and because I love Harry Potter. I wanted to make my dream come true in fanfiction, but... damn it, the childhoods of people born after 2000 are completely different from those of people born in the 1970s!!!
Whatever, I was about to write this just for myself anyway. It doesn't matter. Once the 21st century rolls around, all my favorite movies will be out, and Ashlin can gradually build up her real estate portfolio. Long live magic!
Theme: My world
Very touching www Don't feed oranges to cats. Cats hate citrus.
The two babies were huddled together on the flying carpet, looking at each other with soft hearts.
Watching Buckbeak fly in the re-release of Azkaban makes me want to ashling.
It's so painful. I tried so many times and couldn't put the cover on it. If anyone reads it, I'll put it somewhere else.
