Synopsis
Before the age of fifteen, Wei Xuezhi was the foolish daughter of the Wei family. Her parents doted on her, and she lived a carefree, comfortable life, unaware of the world around her.
Then, when she was fifteen, a demon cultivator slaughtered three cities, leaving her family in ruins and her parents dead. A certain Divine Lord rescued her and awakened her mind. From that moment on, she devoted herself to cultivation, determined to do two things: avenge herself on the demonic path and repay the Divine Lord.
Right. At first, that didn’t include the situation she found herself in now: the instant Wei Xuezhi fell into demonic cultivation, she stood there with her sword in hand, eyes bloodshot and her body wreathed in sinister flames, watching the foremost Divine Lord of the Heavenly Dao Palace, the most aloof and celibate god in all the heavens and earth, willingly descend from his altar and gently kiss the space between her brows.
Everyone: Is this an affair?!
Wei Xuezhi, solemnly: This is the god’s compassion.
Wei Xuezhi had truly never entertained improper thoughts about the Divine Lord. She had long since fallen helplessly in love, as if poisoned, with the formidable senior who was at once her teacher and friend, righteous and wicked in equal measure. He still had many secrets, but they had spent years together, and she was confident she could accept everything about him.
Until, on the brink of death, she watched the senior gently kiss her, then ascend to immortality before her eyes. Amid the fluttering white feathers, the aloof Divine Lord looked down at her, a sinister black curse-mark visible on the back of his neck.
Divine Lord Fengze: You like him more?
Wei Xuezhi, stunned: Divine Lord, you... are you jealous of yourself?
--Coming soon--
You’re Not That Kind of Android!
The second daughter of the Chi family, Chi Jiangyan, suddenly bought an android, causing a sensation in high society. Everyone knew that the Chi family had already arranged her marriage to the eldest son of the Xia family. For a woman about to marry, buying herself an impossibly handsome adult male android seemed far too rebellious. Family reputation was everything, and she had even retired from the Alliance government. How could she be so unwilling to follow the rules?
Only Chi Jiangyan knew that she hadn’t really bought this android. At least, she hadn’t bought the brain. A Xu had originally been a weapon of war that she had helped develop extensively at the Alliance Academy of Sciences’ Bionic Research and Applications Laboratory. He was her comrade-in-arms, her friend, and the greatest regret of her life.
But all of that ended with the war, when he and an enemy battle armor destroyed each other. Later, she signed a confidentiality agreement, left the bionic lab, and secretly smuggled A Xu’s brain out with her.
She gave up everything and accepted an arranged marriage, all so she could secure enough resources to devote herself to restoring A Xu’s body. She hoped the boy who had fought fearlessly with a sword in hand, yet called her “Teacher” with nothing but tenderness in his eyes, could come back.
He had promised her that if there was even the slightest chance of survival, he would return.
But things got a little complicated. The boy did come back, but some of his data chips were missing. In simple terms, he had lost his memory. He seemed to think he was a household android, and not exactly the innocent kind.
Chi Xu knelt on one knee, his shirt open all the way down and tucked loosely into his waistband. His skin was smooth and taut, each part painstakingly restored by Chi Jiangyan herself after the war. From his chest to his abdomen, his body was all ridges and hollows. She’d never paid attention to them before, but now she avoided his gaze and focused on his hands.
His hands were strong and angular, capable of taking down a ground battle armor with his bare hands. Now, though, he lifted hers with the utmost care and brought it to his lips.
His breath was scorching, his ears bright red, yet his tone was as reverent as a prayer, his voice ending in a faint, trembling note. “Would you like to try my... endless mode?”
Core idea: Stay true to yourself, no matter what path you take.
