An energetic, goofy, money-loving girl VS a sick and unhinged young man from Miaojiang
[One]
Zhu Buyu transmigrated into a book.
In the book's world, monsters and ghosts ran rampant. She was a cannon-fodder supporting female character, and her mission was to max out the male supporting character's affection for her.
Well, the male supporting character was Wu Xingyuan, a hostage from Miaojiang.
He seemed frail, obedient, and pitiful, but in truth he could switch moods in an instant. He was also the Lord of the Asura Path, with half a ghost body sealed inside him, and no one knew how many ruthless methods he had secretly used.
He was the sort of ruthless man who could smile warmly, gently call you "junior sister," and crush a monster's skull behind his back without batting an eye.
[Two]
But...
The original story never said that after overusing his ghost power, Wu Xingyuan would turn into a child. She thought he was a poor little thing nobody wanted, so she cuddled and petted him hundreds of times...
Not only that, she also ordered him to run errands, clean, and do laundry.
When she saw the young man appear in her arms in the middle of the night, staring at her ominously, Zhu Buyu was so scared she rolled right off the bed.
This was too much stimulation.
[Three]
From then on, Zhu Buyu kept feeling that Wu Xingyuan's gaze was becoming more and more unsettling.
After their master and the others all went away again, leaving just the two of them to guard the peak, that feeling reached its height.
At night, she put up three seals before nervously going to bed. But when she woke in the middle of the night, a half-ghost was still sitting right beside her bed, staring at her with an inscrutable gaze.
Like sticky, freezing fog, he seeped through every gap and wrapped around her bit by bit, climbing behind her ears, slipping between her fingers, soaking through her clothes...
Zhu Buyu ran away.
He roused every monster and ghost in the Asura Path, scouring every inch of the land until he finally found her in the abyss of the deep sea and brought her back to hide in the Asura Hall.
Ghosts could ignore all spell-based ways of sensing their own bones, so he broke off one of his bones, rubbed it into a pretty, slender chain, and wound it around her wrist.
Watching his own bone tightly encircle her, Wu Xingyuan sighed with satisfaction.
"Zhuzhu, you can't escape."
[Reader's guide]
SC, happy ending. Neither the male nor female lead is perfect, and both have obvious flaws and obsessive tendencies. The setting and cultivation techniques draw broadly on literature from the Pre-Qin and Northern and Southern Dynasties periods, which I won't list individually.
Theme: In this ever-changing world, love is the one eternal myth
