[Dumb Guide x Sentinel with a fear of Sentinels]

Sheng Ming is a Guide. While fleeing after defecting, he accidentally gets lost in the sight of a young Sentinel.

Xie Yi, the Sentinel: “...?”

The Sentinel strides over. “Do you know me?”

“No.”

“That's too bad. I know you.” Looking down at him, the Sentinel holds out a pair of silver handcuffs and says with a smile that doesn't reach his eyes, “Hands out. You're under arrest.”

Sheng Ming: “...”

Sheng Ming obediently lets himself be arrested. While under the Sentinel's watch, he secretly places a “nesting” on the other man's spirit animal. Then, right in front of the Sentinel comrades who come to rescue him, he chooses the new over the old and makes his former companions bow to the new Sentinel with a thump (their spirit animals bow, that is).

His fellow Sentinel is so furious his heart aches. “Sheng Ming, do you even have a heart?!”

Sheng Ming tries to explain, and earns himself two pairs of silver handcuffs from the Sentinel surnamed Xie.

Sheng Ming: “...”

You're never going to let that go, are you?

As the two of them become hopelessly entangled, the world undergoes a drastic change. Zombies run rampant, and everything slides toward an irretrievable abyss of darkness.

Faced with a giant infected spirit entity that is beyond human ability to resist, Sheng Ming has a sudden idea. He hooks an arm around the back of the Sentinel's neck, pulls him down, rises onto his toes, and mumbles instructions: “Open your mouth.”

They're establishing a mental link. Why are you just standing there?

Xie Yi: “...”

The Sentinel, dazed by the kiss, comes back to his senses and angrily pulls the Guide close by the waist, kissing and biting him.

Afterward, Sheng Ming finds Xie Yi and apologizes with utmost seriousness. “I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken it upon myself to establish a shallow mental link between us by kissing you directly without getting your consent... And I was terrible at kissing, which affected... I've fully recognized how serious this incident was. I...”

Xie Yi slowly sits up straight, his eyes empty.

He definitely got taken advantage of, right? The guy got a free kiss and won't even give him a proper relationship?

After they accidentally kiss a few more times, Sheng Ming even comes to demand an explanation with complete confidence: “You kissed me? Why?”

Xie Yi: “...”

Xie Yi: “??”

Is there any justice in this world? Surely there's a limit to how oblivious someone can be?!
