During the summer vacation after high school graduation, on their third day together, Jing Yuan breaks up with him.

She says they should part on good terms and never see each other again.

Jiang Cong'en lets go of her hand and says, "I've never met anyone as heartless and domineering as you."

Years later, they meet again, seemingly having moved on.

Jing Yuan realizes that this is bad.
