>>>>>> Lucky Star
Mo Jingzhi, codename Ice Wine, is widely regarded as the organization's lucky charm.
There's a long-standing legend in the organization that taking her along on missions makes everything twice as effective. Even Gin takes her on missions from time to time.
Little Jingzhi (modestly waving her hands): That's not true. I can just see which targets are unlucky and might make good openings.

Called in by Gin in the middle of the night to form teams, Mo Jingzhi looked at the blue-eyed new recruit in front of her. She glanced up at the blackish-blue luck hovering over his head, then down at the roster in her hand, then back at his head. Frowning, she asked, "Mr. Midorikawa, you haven't been in this line of work for long, have you?"
"A few years."
"Oh? Then you're pretty capable. You managed to stay alive."
Generally speaking, members of the underworld couldn't be too unlucky, or their enemies would easily kill them. Take her own lucky Koi Gold, or Big Brother Gin's Blood Red, for example.
Midorikawa Ryo replied with helpless amusement, "Thanks for the compliment."
Soon, she pulled the blond new recruit beside him over. "You should partner up with Mr. Amuro. His luck is blazing red. He looks about as lucky as Big Brother Gin, so he should be able to protect you."
His red wasn't quite the same shade as Big Brother Gin's, but it was definitely red.
After assigning the other new recruits to teams, she pulled over another new recruit with long black hair. "Never mind. You three should be a team. Someone as unlucky as you could easily die, and I'm worried he won't be able to protect you on his own."
The blond man couldn't help glaring angrily at the long-haired man who had suddenly joined their little group.
Little Jingzhi, who had abruptly sat up in bed in the middle of the night: Is that red the color of the Japanese flag?
>>>>>> Saving lives by day, killing and setting fires by night
In her spare time, she liked walking around the streets, looking for people with dark clouds over their heads who seemed likely to die soon, then seeing if she could find a chance to save them.

"What am I doing?" Mo Jingzhi asked, baffled, after Bourbon caught her as if he'd found something to hold over her. "Doing good deeds! You really don't know something that basic? People like us tend to have short lives."
"I want to live to a hundred."
Bourbon, who lacked basic knowledge: ...
Bourbon turned and called Gin. "Ice Wine's hobby is helping people on the street? That really doesn't fit the image of our organization."
Gin clicked his tongue impatiently. "As long as she doesn't interfere with missions, I don't care if she moonlights as Ultraman and saves the world."
Bourbon stared at the disconnected call: ...So you believe in the light too, Gin?

Notes:
1. The female lead is a genuine member of the organization, but she really does do good deeds.
2. The female lead has a supernatural ability that lets her see the colors of other people's luck. It's somewhat similar to Sakura's, but not exactly the same. Sakura's ability is focused on death, while Little Jingzhi's lasts over the long term. She really is incredibly lucky.
3. The entire police academy group is saved.
4. Although the female lead says in the scene above that Bourbon lacks common sense, due to special circumstances, she herself really does lack common sense.
5. I haven't decided who the pairing will be yet. We'll see how the story develops. Most likely there won't be one.
6. My naming skills are just that ridiculous. I might change the title later.
Theme: Do good deeds and don't worry about the future.
