The Other Shore

Leaving everything else aside, I met someone when I was sixteen.

The first time I saw him, I was dazzled. The second time, my heart stirred.

I called him a breathtaking sight in this world, then realized that wasn't quite right.

He was more like falling snow,

settling over my silent heart.

I will cross a pond filled with rivers of stars to reach the distant shore where he awaits.
