Years ago, in Xingcheng, there was a group of spirited young people. They braved every obstacle and feared none of the world's many rules. They were the jewels of Xingcheng.

But fate had other plans. A sudden accident cut off the path ahead of them.

Over the next decade and more, their passion faded and their dreams died. Nightmares lay buried deep in their hearts, and they refused to show the slightest fear.

Yet before the end arrived, an invitation came from within the depths of the fog...

"▅▅awaits your choice."

A tremor from the soul. The resentment, the hatred, like poison taking root in the heart and sprouting through the earth, grew into a towering tree.

And so, the story from years ago played out once again, as if that dream had never vanished.

Tong Rui never imagined that one day he would be swallowed by a tide of emotion. Just as he never expected Yan Zhiyan to place the most important thing in his hands, so he could open that door...

The time and price it took to return from hell to the human world were so great that he'd forgotten: he, too, had once been the most rebellious boy in Xingcheng.

When the tide recedes, when light shines over the land once more, when... everything fades away, I will no longer fear anything. That was our youth.

Warnings before reading:

1. The main pairing is BL, and the secondary pairing is BG. The secondary couple appears in flashbacks. The flashbacks are split evenly between both characters' perspectives.

2. The BL couple is already together at the start. In the flashbacks, the boys break up and don't get back together. They more or less reconcile a few years later, after they start working.

3. The main couple has a happy ending, while the secondary couple has a tragic ending.

3. The flashbacks take up a large portion of the story. Yan Zhiyan is very good to her friends. The bottom in the main couple is her childhood friend; they grew up together.

4. The author imagines the later parts as leaning toward Western fantasy and an infinite-flow style. You can think of that place as a game or a space that's about to disappear. I'll do my best to make it all add up.
