When the Author Meets the Villain in Their Story

Su Yi is a writer, and he isn't quite right in the head.

When he has an episode, the characters he writes are just as neurotic as he is. The craziest one is always the most popular.

Yan Qi, the villain in his hugely popular no-romance infinite-flow novel, has become more beloved than the protagonist, his own precious creation whom Su Yi poured the most effort into. His fans are so devoted that they flood Su Yi's Weibo, accusing him of playing favorites.

Su Yi's response: Why don't we take a look at who's actually the protagonist -_-

He never imagined that one day he'd transmigrate into his own supernatural novel, becoming a cannon-fodder character who gets tortured to death in the very first instance by his own beloved creation, Yan Qi.

The good news: He knows the plot inside out, so clearing the stages with his cheat knowledge should be easy.

The bad news: Yan Qi was just cornered by a group of bosses because of him, and is already on his way to settle the score.

Remembering the novel's revenge scenes, described in such detail they'd get censored, Su Yi really wanted to go back and beat himself to death.

The door was smashed open by a giant axe. A man in a black suit dragged it over and stopped in front of him, a sinister smile on his handsome face.

Seeing the character he'd painstakingly created appear right before his eyes, Su Yi's tension turned into an indescribable excitement.

His heart pounded. He almost felt like crying.

Then he really did start crying.

The instant his tears fell, Yan Qi clutched his chest and dropped to his knees with a thud. His eyes were as vicious as a jackal's. “What did you do to me?”

Su Yi relaxed and suddenly started laughing, though the tears kept streaming down his face. “So you feel pain when I cry. That's great. Be a good boy and bear with it. I'm going to run away first.”

Yan Qi: “... You're asking for death.”

.

Later, after Yan Qi unexpectedly learned Su Yi's identity, he showed none of the “filial devotion to his mother” that the protagonist did.

He grabbed Su Yi by the wrist and pinned him against the wall, staring at his feigned composure. A smile curled his lips, and his voice was as cold as a snake's. “How am I inferior to him, my good mother? Why wouldn't you let me be the protagonist? Why... won't you look only at me?”

“Mom, you're so unfair.”

The protagonist's name will probably change.
