A fortune-telling Taoist priestess who can read fate x a rich, scheming heir who seems harmless
A handsome young man has recently arrived at Peach Blossom Temple. His lovely amber eyes turn into crescent moons whenever he smiles at someone, revealing a tiny canine tooth.
Ning Qing’s review: He’s like a fluffy Samoyed, perfect for holding and ruffling his hair.
Before the Three Pure Ones, the Samoyed’s gaze is devout and his expression solemn. He murmurs a prayer, bows low, and stays there.
Ning Qing, who had come to stay at the temple and practice after failing to make the cut in an idol audition, happened to see this and couldn’t help going over to investigate.
“Primordial Heavenly Worthy of Jade Purity, Heavenly Worthy of Numinous Treasure of Highest Purity, Heavenly Worthy of the Way and Its Virtue of Supreme Purity, please accept a bow from me, Chi. Grant me a beautiful romance!”
“I really want to fall in love so badly!!”
Ning Qing never imagined anyone would ask the Three Pure Ones for that, and couldn’t help laughing softly.
Hearing the sound, Chi Muye turned around and saw a little Taoist priest with bright eyes and red lips leaning against a vermilion pillar. His dark blue Taoist robe looked especially good on him.
A female priest of the Orthodox Unity School... can date, right??
Chi Muye’s heart skipped a beat. Damn, the Three Pure Ones really are amazing.
A beautiful romance, delivered right to his doorstep!
Chi Muye thought about his twenty-odd years of life and felt that aside from having a little money at home, he didn’t have much going for him.
To win over his priestess, Chi Muye decided to play to his strengths. He either paid to have almost the entire Peach Blossom Temple renovated, or showered her with gifts in her livestreams as she earnestly explained Taoist teachings.
Ning Qing just thought of him as a silly, rich Samoyed. Having a stupid little dog around while she chanted scriptures and practiced the Way wasn’t bad at all.
Unfortunately, Ning Qing had misjudged him. Chi Muye was no little dog.
He was a hungry wolf who couldn’t take his eyes off his prey.
Spring has come to the temple once more, and the peach blossoms cover the hillside behind it.
As the late Zhao Zhongxiang once said, spring has arrived, all living things are waking up, and it’s time for the animals to mate.
Excitement he could barely contain filled Chi Muye’s amber eyes. He greedily breathed in the faint sandalwood scent at Ning Qing’s neck. “Sister, actually, money isn’t the only thing I have going for me.”
“I’ve heard Taoist teachings include a bedroom arts text called The Union of Yin and Yang. Would you teach it to me?”
“As a reward, I’ll tell you what else I have going for me.”
*Blurb two:
You serve me food, I spin the table. I want to sleep, you sing loudly.
You offer me wine, I refuse. I chant scriptures, you gossip.
I thought of you as my patron, but you pulled me into your arms.
Peach blossoms bloom in the temple breeze, and the silly disciple is tricked into a wolf’s den.
Another lighthearted comedy. There’s no need to take the Taoist content in the book too seriously.
