To Hongdou, everything suddenly felt like a nightmare.
Her deeply respected master defected from the village overnight, and she went from being a promising student of the Sannin to the apprentice of a rogue ninja.
But that wasn't what hurt the most.
"Do you still resent me for using you and throwing you away?"
The man before her was still powerful and confident. Nothing, not even his feelings, could shake him. Only she remained stuck in the past, tossing and turning in distress.
She felt like a pathetic clown...
Given another chance, Hongdou sees things clearly. There's no point dwelling on that man. The most important thing is to become strong enough to avert the tragedies that haven't yet come to pass. With her opportunities and her pursuit of truth, Hongdou sets off on the long road of ninja science, and, as a bonus, completely defeats her former master in the field he excels at.
