“The gymnastics events at the 2013 National Games concluded yesterday. The women’s team has put the shadows of the London Olympics behind them, and a host of young athletes have begun to shine. Two dark horses from the Hubei team broke through the competition, with Lin An and Ji Xiang emerging as the twin stars of these National Games.”
2013–2016: One cycle. Can the national women’s team be reborn?
They are widely recognized as prodigies, talented athletes already picked out from the crowd by those who know a good horse when they see one.
But once they make the national team, they discover that everyone around them is just as gifted.
“I want to win. I want to be an Olympic champion. I want to do better than everyone else.”
“Instead of some hazy future and a spot I can’t hold on to, I’d rather stand on the podium this time with all of you.”
“We promised… You said we’d go to the Olympic podium together.”
We will always love this path.
Behind it lie blood, sweat, and thorns, while the destination we race toward glitters with light and flowers.
One team, many girls giving everything they have in the bloom of youth, together painting a time full of color.
Inspired by real life, but the characters are not based on real people. Please do not associate them with anyone. Remember: this is not a true story. It is fictional, and the characters have no real-life counterparts.
The author is not a competitive gymnastics professional and will sacrifice the plausibility of a few elements of technical difficulty for the sake of the plot. This is absolutely not a rigorous work of nonfiction. All results in the story are made up for the plot and have no connection to any real events, competitions, or people.
Also: My new novel, Let’s Meet at Sunset, is currently being serialized. This story is about Lu Li and touches on some sports corruption. Feel free to check it out if you’re interested.
Theme: Welcome to this dazzling world.
On 6.17, The Chinese team announced the roster for the Paris Olympics. Congratulations to Qiu Qiyuan, Zhou Yaqin, Ou Yushan, Zhang Yihan and Luo Huan! I was very moved when I saw the list. It is an ideal Olympic lineup and a relatively open and transparent selection. It is also the candidate I personally want to see the most. Huanhuan was my favorite little girl in Rio, but it was a pity that she was always on the bench at that time. I was very excited to see her stand at the top of the World Cup, and I will never forget her quick save to win the silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games. She was beautiful and confident, but I always wanted to cry when I looked at her. But she has never given up. It has been 11 years. Perseverance really makes sense. From the National Championships to the team test, she carved out her own spot in the bloody storm. Congratulations also to Mini Baby (Zhang Yihan), a very competitive little girl who entered the Olympics at the age of sixteen and won a spot for herself. She is always surprising people. A dtt and team test of new floor exercises will confirm your quota. I hope your bars will also go smoothly. Fifteen-year-old Yihan said she wanted to go to Paris, and the 16-year-old Yihan helped her realize this wish. At the same time, congratulations to Qiu Qiu, Yaqin, and Xiao Ou. You are all defined by being a talented girl, a late bloomer, and a misfortune. But I hope you will not be defined. Everyone will leave their best performances in Paris. I wish you all good luck in the Olympics and I wish you shine in Paris!
Record it in the comment area: In the all-around final of the National Championships at 4.27, Zhang Yihan nailed her dtt and got a high score of 14; the uneven bars finally came down. This sixteen-year-old girl always seems to surprise everyone. When I was still worried about her instability on the uneven bars, her provincial background, her average all-around, etc., It turned out that she had already taken her fate into her own hands. And congratulations to Qiu Qiyuan and Zhou Yaqin, two talented and hard-working girls who have qualified for the Olympics. Congratulations to Du Siyu and Luo Huan for their outstanding performances in their Olympic journey. Our Gua Women's team is a team that can always surprise people with turnarounds and comebacks when they are in desperate situations. I hope Paris goes well.
I don't know if Xiangxiang will compete in Tokyo. If Tokyo can maintain a high competitive level, there is actually a great hope of winning Olympic AA gold. However, the melon team echelon construction in the article is too sound, and it feels difficult to say whether Tokyo will let Xiangxiang continue to compete.
Taking advantage of the good days just after the World Championships, I responded: 1. The first round of intensive revision has basically ended, and key storylines such as the roster and game results have not been modified. In the future, I may occasionally correct some minor mistakes such as bad sentences and typos that I didn't notice. Comments have been opened, everyone is welcome to comment; 2. Regarding "Director Cheng's resignation" mentioned in the extra chapter, the specific process and reasons are described in the author's other book "Let's Meet at Sunset"; 3. A baby asked about the relationship between Xiangxiang and Xiaoan in the final rating. Since I couldn't reply in the final rating, I put it here. There is no CP in this article. In the timeline of the main finale in 2016, they have not yet understood how to define this relationship. Perhaps it can be described as friendship being better than family affection. After all, Qingmei has grown up together for ten years. Is it a matter of time or habit? They are more like relying on each other, and it is indeed difficult to define the category of love. As for the final direction of the relationship, the author left it blank, but by the 24-year timeline, the two of them still only had each other around them, and no other love lines appeared. Different people have different opinions, everyone can imagine for themselves! 4. The World Championships in Jakarta is over. Congratulations to Zhang Qingying for winning one gold and one bronze! Congratulations to the new world champion! Last year, she was still the child who said dejectedly at the Olympic trials, "I may not be able to see the vault," and "What if it won't hurt tomorrow?" She was the child who regretfully ended her Olympic journey amid abuse and criticism. The child who was once not favored has won the women's team's balance beam world championship for the first time in four years and the all-around podium for the first time in six years. So Da Zhang, please always believe that God rewards hard work. The power of hard work is great, and the flowers will bloom eventually. Thank you everyone for reading, favorites and comments! More and more are also welcome! [Compare your heart]
Xiangxiang will win the all-around world championship! There is still hope for the World Championships. Congratulations to Esprit for winning AA bronze. She is also a very hard-working and talented girl. The talented girl went through many hardships and finally showed herself on the biggest stage. The future will get better and better. Waiting for Xiangxiangfx to be crowned.
I just saw it before, but this chapter is directly confirmed. The overall look is more of a group portrait, with the main character being Lin An, who is scheduled to win double gold medals in the Olympic Games. Ji, Duan, etc. Are expected to win the women's team gold together with the protagonist, and individually win the World Championship individual or all-around gold.
I cried when I saw it. Both children must be well.
So touching 😭 Lei Leirui'er and Qingqing's third round of National Games ended like this, and their sports careers are over 😭 Leilei is really courageous, and Lanlan has become a big sister. Together with the author, I wish the little flowers all the best in the championship.
I want to see the extra stories about Yao Qing and Mo Ruier!
I went to take a look next door and felt that Yin Lei would be an important force in defeating Director Cheng (?). The fact that Chu Li drugged Noi was probably due to Cheng's indulgence and hint. However, most of the girls in the group are still very good. Although they have vested interests, they also try to protect others. After reading this, I just hope that the book will make him step down quickly.
