Everyone has someone they remember vividly, don't they?
Never having had them, then finding peace as the years go by.
Scene One: Su Ting was happily studying during class when she suddenly felt her chair slide backward, even though she was still sitting on it! She turned around, and Tan Yanjun's face was only a finger's width away. Su Ting forgot to struggle. She listened to Tan Yanjun breathe and gazed at his high nose, her heart pounding. She sat there in a daze, afraid to breathe.
Tan Yanjun pulled Su Ting's chair back until it was right in front of his seat. Only then did Su Ting come to her senses. She was terribly embarrassed, and her face turned red again. She quietly dragged the chair back, worried Old Hu would make another round and catch them, then scold them.
As soon as she sat down, her chair moved back again. Su Ting felt as if she were on a car driving itself, and she could even feel the breeze. She was so, so happy. When she turned around, she could see Tan Yanjun, the person she liked best. It felt like she'd fallen into a jar of honey.
"What are you doing?" Tan Yanjun leaned close to Su Ting's ear and asked why she had pulled her chair back.
Su Ting's ear tickled, and the back of it went bright red. Her mind was a mess. She had completely forgotten about being afraid of Old Hu. All she could think was, He's right next to me...
Without thinking, she said the boldest thing she'd said in her entire life: "Pull me back one more time. There's a breeze~" As soon as she said it, her face felt hot.
Tan Yanjun burst out laughing, the corners of his mouth lifting in a way even he hadn't noticed. "Sit still."
Two hearts pounded away.
Scene Two: Tan Yanjun took the initiative and invited her to share his umbrella~ Su Ting felt like she was dreaming~ A blessing in disguise!
She took her time putting on her backpack, then stammered, "Today, let's, let's go out the front gate."
"Okay," came his cool, gentle voice.
Such a wonderful thing was waiting for her. Chen Chang had broken her umbrella, so she could walk home from school with Tan Yanjun, sharing his umbrella!!! Fate had tied her to him. Su Ting was so happy. Meeting Tan Yanjun was the most wonderful thing in the world.
Tan Yanjun's umbrella wasn't foldable. It was a clear, spring-loaded umbrella. When Su Ting tilted her head up, she could see the gloomy sky, while everything beneath the umbrella was especially bright. She curled up under it carefully, afraid to talk or breathe, her whole face tense.
Seeing Su Ting like that, Tan Yanjun couldn't help laughing. Su Ting's face immediately turned red, and she could feel how hot it was.
She held her neck stiff and put on a serious expression, but she was only forcing herself. The moment he laughed, her composure fell apart.
Just hearing his laughter made her feel tipsy. The beautiful rainy scene couldn't compare to the person in front of her.
She snuck a glance at him, then immediately stared straight ahead. She tried to sneak another look without making it obvious, completely unaware of the path beneath her feet.
He was laughing. He knew she was sneaking glances at him. Her heart was screaming, about to leap out of her chest. Did he know she liked him?
Her heartbeat rose into her throat. She almost opened her mouth to confess, but suddenly the whole world flickered. A few seconds later, a rumbling sound rang across the sky. Beneath the thunder, Su Ting held back the first confession of her life. She held it back with all her might.
