Lin Chen, who often sleeps in class, stumbles into a forbidden land where a Nightmare is sealed. There he meets Yan Quan, the Nightmare's guardian. The two bicker their way through an adventure and save the world together.
But Lin Chen soon realizes things aren't as simple as he imagined. One strange occurrence after another crops up around him: a popular actress dreams every night that she is being married to a dead man, and a close friend suddenly becomes a vegetable...
"Chenchen, do you know what your name means?" Yan Quan asked with a bright smile, staring into Lin Chen's eyes.
"Spit it out," Lin Chen replied, casting him a cool glance.
"Chen means treasure. You're my treasure."
