[Western Crossover] A Hot-Kiss Afternoon

Alicia, a spoiled Upper East Side girl, runs away from home in a huff when her father refuses to buy her a yacht.

Her credit cards are canceled, the weather is scorching, and she's wearing red-soled heels as she deigns to withdraw cash at the bank when she unexpectedly runs into a robber.

Is that a problem?

Alicia looks at the big-eyed robber, who seems utterly flustered, and breaks into a wicked smile.

He's a hapless loser, poor, timid, reckless, and even a married bisexual. What better way to get back at her father than to date him?

Sonny tries in vain to please everyone. On a sweltering, godforsaken afternoon, a star suddenly falls from the sky. He suffers, and fresh green shoots emerge from his humble bones, turning him into an everlasting rose.

After that, he only wants to please that one person.

People-pleaser male lead x willful, arrogant heiress

Might start at the end of the year, might start early next year.

I want to write a heroine with a bit of a Kardashian vibe. She'll make seductive moves for men when it's to her advantage and in keeping with social expectations. She never feels sorry for herself and faces her desires head-on.

Both leads have past relationships.

Papa is really handsome, sobbing. I personally think this is Papa at the peak of his looks, after this it's all the charm of a mature man.

Set in the seventies, opening with Dog Day Afternoon. It will also draw on The Naked Gun and some kidnapping movies.
