Announcement: This story will be released as a paid novel tomorrow, 2025/9/17. Three chapters will be posted. Many thanks to all the lovely readers who've supported me all this time!

Blurb:

She went to sleep single at midnight and woke up as a little boy.

Little by little, he learned about his new surroundings.

His father was a seventh-rank county magistrate with no connections, spending every day thinking about how to climb the ladder.

There was a principal wife and two concubines in the household. They got along on the surface, but each had her own agenda.

Though he was born to a concubine, he had plenty to eat and wear, with maids and servants always around him, yet he had plenty of pressure to deal with.

His birth mother was gentle and soft-tempered, and cried whenever something happened.

The principal wife feared he'd claim too much of the family fortune when he grew up, while his magistrate father feared he'd be a hopeless disappointment.

In the end, not only did he surpass his father, the county magistrate, he also married a wife with lots of money.

Content warnings: A woman transmigrates into a man's body; he takes a wife, with a one-to-one romance.

The imperial examination system draws on the Song and Ming dynasties, among others.

Coming soon: The Road to the Imperial Examinations: A Woman Transmigrates into a Man. A story about becoming a farmer's son, farming, and taking the imperial examinations.

The Heart-Stealer: Transmigrated into an ancient scholar, he develops feelings for his superior's wife.
