The Three Realms Are All Waiting for Me to Apprehend My Dao Companion

Luo Ling ascends to immortality. Her first assignment is to descend to the mortal realm and capture a VIP fugitive from the Celestial Realm: the world-destroying demon lotus.

The mortal world has been overrun by ghosts, making survival difficult. Meanwhile, the Jade Emperor keeps a close eye on her, alternating between threats and rewards. Luo Ling is in a real bind.

Luo Ling realizes something is wrong and scrambles to escape.

Her husband presses her back down, his voice husky. "My lady, how do I compare to the Jade Emperor like this?"

Luo Ling's heart pounds like a drum.

"Put your pants on first... No, wait... May I ask who you actually are?!"

Luo Ling discovers that her husband is the world-destroying demon lotus, and that he's adamant she's the "moonlight in his heart" who once abandoned him and fell in love with the Jade Emperor instead.

The Ghost King descends, laying waste to the mortal realm.

The Celestial Realm and the demon lands both muster their forces and put pressure on Luo Ling.

One side demands she divorce her husband, return to the righteous path, and kill the lotus, so she can reclaim her divine position. The other insists she cut ties with her old love and marry into the demon clan, only then will they set aside past grievances and help destroy evil.

Amidst the raging war, Luo Ling's memories, buried beneath layers of loss, come roaring back...

With all eyes on her, she looks at the Jade Emperor, driven mad with jealousy, then at her husband, whose smile is cold. In the deathly silence, she tears apart the prayer banner and walks toward her demon lord, rising onto her toes to kiss his cold lips.
