The Mission: Escape the Supernatural

The protagonist was born with yin-yang eyes that let him see everything, as well as an incredibly sharp intuition. He dreams of being discovered and recognized by a powerful master one day, so he can go from being a "fake fortune-teller" in the eyes of ordinary people to a genuine mystic. But bad luck and an uncommon talent keep him from becoming a mystic or a medium. Instead, he is officially hired as an... ...external assistant for a mysterious organization. The organization is called the Special Events Investigation Unit. It specializes in the various supernatural phenomena found in modern society. When they come looking for him, it isn't to use his abilities to help resolve supernatural phenomena. They want him to join the Unit's public relations department and "resolve" supernatural phenomena on another level, getting more people to believe in science and leave superstition behind. The protagonist looks at the woman floating in front of him, her body translucent and water constantly streaming from her. Wearing a complicated expression, he asks, "So, you're the HR person interviewing me, right?" "That's right." The translucent woman is dressed neatly. The water running off her vanishes as soon as it hits the floor. She turns the page of the plastic-bound documents in her hand and says in a businesslike tone, "Please assist us in resolving the various supernatural events in the city, and help educate the public about them so people can leave mysticism behind and embrace science. This will help our department protect the public and dispel superstitious thinking." The protagonist: "…" It sounds like a perfectly ordinary job, and the pay and benefits are fantastic, but the person talking to him is a ghost, for goodness' sake! A naive uke who lies through his teeth, an seme who is a human-shaped catalyst for supernatural phenomena. An original fantasy setting with a mountain of headcanon, lighthearted and silly. The protagonist will face all kinds of supernatural phenomena involving the paranormal, magic, science fiction, and mental contamination. The premise is that people's beliefs affect the strength of some supernatural forces. The fewer people believe in the supernatural, the weaker those beings become. So the protagonist's job matters. It's just really hard, hahaha. Theme: Face life with a positive attitude!
