This is the old blurb. While outlining, I suddenly decided I didn't want to make things so bitter and full of hatred anymore (meaning a blood feud), so I scrapped the old version and decided to write a straightforward cultivation and leveling story with a female lead. I'm still working on the outline.
Blurb 1:
Ever since the Chaotic Sea's tide rose three hundred years ago, strange beasts have often crawled out of it and threatened the people living along the coast.
But Chu Yi had a mentor who loved traveling the world, four caring senior sisters, and a gluttonous little junior sister. She was convinced that if the sky fell, someone taller would hold it up, and was content to drift through life.
The thing she was proudest of doing in her life was probably accompanying her mentor north to fight off the strange beasts and protect the people there.
But in the end, some died and others were wounded. One hundred thousand comrades were wiped out.
Only Chu Yi awoke, ten years later, amid a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.
Blurb 2:
Chu Yi only wanted to avenge herself. So how did it come to this?
They say the mysterious Holy Son of the Fuyu Kingdom, whose name is unknown, was willing to break his oath and fight five priests just to leave the Bright Sacred Hall and see her once.
They say the prince of the Xixiao Kingdom couldn't last fifteen minutes against her, yet wept and begged to become her disciple. Even the emperor wanted to treat her with the honors due a State Preceptor.
They say the tribes of the southern border willingly honored her as their mother, sculpted statues of her, and offered incense.
And that genius boy, who at twelve had entered the academy and challenged the entire school, attained enlightenment while seated, and then cast aside his sword on the spot to become a wanderer of the world, considered her a friend and kindred spirit.
Reading guide:
1. A new cultivation system inspired by the Eight Extraordinary Vessels.
2. A new world where men and women are equal, and the strong are respected.
3. An ensemble cast of women. There are no romantic storylines or unrequited crushes among the characters.
Theme: Stones from other mountains can be used to polish jade.
