This is an uncomfortable place.
The villagers who revere you as a saintess, the men who worship you, and the children who have no sense of boundaries but escape blame simply because they are young, all make you deeply uncomfortable.
They kneel on the ground, begging you to bless them with better lives, while their greed, desire, and schemes are completely undisguised in their eyes as they turn them on you.
A cage made of countless invisible hands grips you at its very center. A vast black shadow covers you, blocking the sunlight and holding back your heart's desire to break free.
You thought you would have to live like this forever, until that girl appeared and broke through the walls around your heart, just as you were about to seal it away again.
She denied everything about this place, praised how wonderful the outside world was, and did everything she could to show you her world.
She said, "A Ren, your eyes are beautiful, the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen."
She said, "The world outside is so much better than this place. Everyone is kind, and no one has these terrible habits."
She said, "They're exploiting you, hurting you, and humiliating you."
She said, "I'll sneak you out of here. I won't let them hurt you again. I'll save you."
When you dismissed her, she boldly declared that she would make you change your mind. You took it for nothing more than a string of wild claims.
How could anyone be so foolish?

After leaving that mountain village and encountering new people, you thought you had to prove the girl wrong. You had to prove that everything she said was nonsense.
As you expected, the outside world was even more disgusting than that village... No, not just the outside. The whole world was like this.
You had understood it long ago: this world was terminally ill, so disgusting it was heartbreaking.
And the salvation she spoke of? Even more absurd.
Later, you met someone else who didn't fit in any better than you. He said he was alone, and so were you. If that was the case, why not make a life together?
He never asked about your past or the strange things about you. He helped you through one difficulty after another, and was even willing to risk his life to save you.
You thought he was a good person. You thought you had finally met someone good.
The female lead is a villain. Her love interest is Wang Ye. I'm lazy, but he's so handsome that I couldn't resist writing him as a love interest. There doesn't seem to be much fanfiction about The Outcast on Jinjiang. Even the stories I've found are pretty polarized: the well-written ones are beyond me, with so many technical Taoist and astronomical terms that they give me a headache.
I'm writing a simple little story. Please don't flame me if it's not good, thank you!
Wang Ye's romance will develop a little slowly.
Theme: Set out to find everything in the world that isn't beautiful.
