[Western Crossover] The Promised Land

1. “Starting with the First Hug” is published. It’s got a strange flavor and a lighthearted tone.

“People have three unusual states while asleep.”

The narcoleptic Xiao Chong passes by the Midnight Mission every night.

Parallel universe, dream lover, and Marc is the last of the three personalities to find out.

(Time passes at different rates. By the time the Mission reaches the events after V9 #9, Xiao Chong has already gone through the entire Origin series.) I don’t think I managed to capture what makes the pairing work, but I’m too lazy to revise it.

2. “A Little Earlier, Just a Little Earlier” is complete, with a serious tone.

“Even in the darkest moments of my life, I still remember you.”

High school student Xiao Chong x mercenary Marc. In this setting, Marc never met Kong Su, and his personal history is different, while Xiao Chong has already become Spider-Man.

3. “Did You Hear That?”

“Sharing our desire to protect each other.”

I think I love you. Am I sick?

Is family a kind of illness? Is companionship a kind of illness? What about feelings? Are they, too?

A heart-to-heart.

4. “You Never Knew (Just How Cute You Are)”

…I wish I could stay by your side forever and ever.

Lover's perspective, monologue.

5. “How to Properly Raise an Owl?”

An injured little bird, but a bird of prey.

(Lots of personal liberties! Also known as: How clueless can a fangirl be with shipping goggles on?)

Not Hogwarts.

6. “The Promised Land”

“I believe in God.”

“I believe in Kong Su.”

Over a long journey on foot, he takes his beloved to the Promised Land.

(Related to Judaism) (Kong Su is related to ancient Egyptian mythology)

This collection is now Moon Chong, with the animated-series Origin Spider-Man x comic Moon Knight, plus all sorts of AUs.

The timeline is a mess. Each story probably has a different style.

If you dislike any character, sorry, it may be my fault.

Also, there's a Moon Chong story coming soon in my works list. The planned Origin Spider-Man-related extra chapter will be posted here.

Would you rather have solitude or companionship?

I am both.

“Someone wanted me to meet you, so here I am.”

A little warmth, along with love.

Theme: “Give me a reason to love you.”
