Zhihu once asked a question:
"If you had another life, what would you want to be?"
Countless anonymous users joined in, discussing what kind of person they would become.
Pei Yining gave a refreshingly unconventional answer: a pampered, lazy, high-class cat (emphasis on high-class) who would show off its charms only when it felt like it.
Heaven nodded graciously: Very well, your wish is granted.
Only, by accident, he only transmigrated halfway into a book and became a stray cat. (Little Pei rages helplessly: What kind of deal is this!)
Luckily, he wasn't a stray for long. Just as he'd hoped, a whole group of people took him in.
A whole! Group! Of people!
And they were all members of the same obscure boy band from the original story!
If you can't afford a cat as gorgeous as me, just let me keep wandering! (Little Pei keeps slapping the table.)
Under Little Pei's leadership:
One captain: I'm practicing, I'm practicing!
One vocalist: I'm singing, I'm singing!
One rapper: I'm writing, I'm writing!
One dancer: I'm dancing, I'm dancing!
The band's fans: Give the cat more screen time in the variety show. I'm not interested in four men.

Important: No real-life inspirations! No stand-ins! Nothing to do with reality! I don't know much about the entertainment industry. This is pure, unrestrained imagination!
The boy band is a permanent group, meant to stay together long term. They trained together and debuted as a group. There's a reason they're obscure.
For specific warnings, see Chapter One.
Written to satisfy my own cravings.
P.S. Don't bet on anyone. The male lead isn't mentioned in the blurb. Look for the first name listed among the supporting characters.
The boy band is in the no-romance category. Idols aren't allowed to date! The guys treat the female lead like a daughter, so this is a family-bond story.
The female lead isn't just a background character, either.
Ensemble cast, with plenty of bullet comments and forum posts.

Theme: Life always gets better
This article collects everyone's ID (bow). It can be related to cats or boy bands. Also, because there are things happening in the first half of the year, most of the updates are weekly or there are too many things going on and it is inconvenient to update. Thank you all for your likes.
Ahhh, the cat is so cute, teacher, why was our cat taken away by the nasty cat thief?
