When Pangu created the world, Nuwa gave life to humanity, and Taiyi ruled the age.
He was the supreme heavenly god among the ancient deities, ruler of the ancient Heavenly Court. Born from primordial chaos, he wielded the Primordial Chaos Bell, protecting heaven and earth and governing all creation.
The laws of Heaven were established because of him, and all three realms acknowledged him as their rightful sovereign.
Yet after Nuwa mended the sky, he resolutely abdicated, yielding the position of sovereign over heaven and earth to Haotian, later known as the Jade Emperor. He did so only because, having lost Heaven's favor, he no longer possessed the providence to rule the Nine Provinces.
He was blameless before heaven and earth, and loved all living beings deeply. Yet the Three Realms and Six Paths forsook one person alone: someone destined by Heaven to be bound to him, only to be abandoned. She should have blessed the Three Realms and been revered by the Six Paths, but now she had become a taboo throughout the Four Seas and Nine Provinces, an awkward existence whom no human, god, or demon dared even mention...
