A Dangerous Relationship

Tang Li was seventeen when she met her future fiance's older brother.

At a party held at her family's villa, the man, who was supposedly born into one of the wealthiest families, leaned against a rockery, tall and long-legged, his posture relaxed.

His curvaceous female companions eagerly scrambled to light his cigarette.

Through the haze of smoke, Jin Chenli raised his eyes. His handsome face was half-hidden in shadow, his gaze meeting hers, cool and detached.

She calmly lowered her head and continued working on her exam paper.

Their third year of knowing each other.

Two weeks before her sophomore year began.

A typhoon had led Hong Kong City to restrict road access.

At night, turbulent winds roared and violent sheets of rain battered the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Tang Li, wearing a man's bathrobe, entered Jin Chenli's private apartment. Shivering from the cold, she picked up the warmed milk on the table and took a sip. Under the gaze of the man behind her, she licked the milk from her lips. "What should I do? I think I just broke the bathroom light."

Jin Chenli watched her with his deep eyes for a moment, then stepped closer. His voice was low and warm as he spoke beside her ear.

"The mirror's fogged up too. Want me to get a bigger one?"

He enunciated each word, biting the nape of her neck. "Sis. In. Law."
