There's a legend in a jade mining district thousands of miles away. They say that over twenty years ago, there was a little kid who could tell a stone's inner quality and color just by touching it. The kid was called Zhao Shu, though he could also be called Zhao Fugui, as he'd wished when he was little.
After narrowly escaping death time and again, little Zhao Shu finally became the most valuable technical expert in the whole mining district.
On a business trip back to China, he happened to meet Shen Jingnian, a dashing young master from the capital who sat on a mountain of gold and strutted his stuff wherever he went.
Zhao Shu had never met anyone as shameless as Shen Jingnian, and Shen Jingnian had never met anyone as wild as Zhao Shu. Zhao Shu thought Shen Jingnian was crazy, while Shen Jingnian thought Zhao Shu was rather interesting.
