Shen Nuo is a little-known streamer with a stunning appearance but a sensitive, painfully shy personality. He's the very definition of a pretty face with nothing else going for it.
One day, a game app called "Cute Pet Home" gets linked to his phone.
The game claims to be about "cute pets," but the creatures inside are all strange:
A haughty little white fox is pretty normal, and he can accept a little black dragon that's just grown horns. But what's with the cursed doll, the Slender Man, and the forbidden angel?
The game is so lifelike, though, and every little pet nuzzles up to Shen Nuo, begging for snacks, toys, and cuddles.
Shen Nuo can't resist. Every day, he logs in on time to care for his virtual pets.
But it's only just begun.
In 2140 AD, humanity faces the greatest disaster in history. The supernatural has arrived on Earth, and the world is on the verge of collapse.
At the same time, the "Cute Pet Home" app gets an update. Players can summon their in-game pets into the real world, and completing livestream missions earns rewards.
To survive, Shen Nuo returns to his old job and launches a supernatural livestream.
When viewers see a pretty young man carrying a blue-ringed octopus as he charges into a restricted zone, they are baffled.
"Where did this pretty-boy streamer come from? He won't last three seconds."
To their surprise, the blue-ringed octopus transforms into a handsome, powerful evil god. Its countless tentacles sweep through the restricted zone! The zone's ruler dies in three seconds, giving the audience a vivid lesson.
People gradually realize that the "pets" curled up in the streamer's arms are clearly S-rank supernatural beings, the kind even the most powerful ability users dare not underestimate!
"Streamer, are you looking for more pets? The college-educated kind!"
Every morning, Shen Nuo finds a fresh, vibrant rose beside his pillow.
Which little cutie's gift could it be?
Shen Nuo asks them one by one, but the supernatural beings all shake their heads.
That's because a certain great demon is far too domineering to let them give him flowers, especially roses, which symbolize love.
One day, Shen Nuo wakes up in a luxurious rose castle and falls into the evil god's arms, its eyes brimming with frenzied love.
"Welcome to my domain, master."
The evil god has waited for over a thousand years for its missing lover. Then the "Cute Pet Home" app appeared, and it met Shen Nuo.
Shen Nuo would gently hold it, wipe the grime from its tentacles, and hum human nursery rhymes to it.
The evil god knows its lover has returned.
