Song Yu, a low-level cleaner in District 17, has a secret.
Her deceased uncle was a wanted criminal, and the inheritance he left her was the world's source code. She dropped out of school halfway through and went into hiding under an assumed name, all to evade her uncle's enemies.
The good news is that everyone who knew the secret is dead, and when she was on the brink of death, a strange System saved her life.
The bad news is that the System bound to her is a survival-game simulator. If she doesn't want to die, she'll have to pit her wits against all kinds of villains in its dungeons.
So Song Yu decides to split herself in two.
By day, she slaves away at the company, tightening screws.
By night, she takes on quests in the game and grinds through its levels.
Two shifts, working nonstop.
Just as she finally clears the game in one life and prepares to kick back and enjoy herself...
The Old Gods awaken, the moon explodes, and all the dungeons she once played merge with reality.
Song Yu: "smiles"
Let it all be destroyed!
Let it all explode!
This world isn't worth saving [exhausted] [falling apart] [raising a forty-meter blade] [demonic whisper]

Many years later, the existence of that being could no longer be verified.
From the scattered remnants left behind, future generations pieced together a few brief lines:
They were the Demon King of the old era, the Supreme God of the new world, and the Unspeakable One of the Peach Blossom Utopia.
