Jiang Mingsheng is the chairwoman of a company. She lives in the public eye, surrounded by admirers, but no one knows that she is constantly on guard against assassination attempts from her own father, Wu Changqing.
At a fight club, she runs into Lin Yunzheng and realizes that this newly hired secretary is not quite what he seems.
Another one sent by Father? She smiles.
She likes all kinds of neckties. She likes using ties in different colors to squeeze Lin Yunsheng's neck, leaving him unable to breathe and forcing him to stay by her side.
To Lin Yunzheng, Jiang Mingsheng is a thorn-covered bramble. Wu Changqing originally hired him to get rid of her. Who could have guessed that even a professional assassin like him would end up defeated by her? To stay alive, he chooses to work with her. To avoid getting hurt, he keeps his distance from the bramble.
Later, Lin Yunzheng realizes that, at some point, the bramble has quietly transformed into a swaying rose in bloom. Though it is covered in thorns, he still wants to possess that dazzling rose. He holds her, even as he is left covered in blood.
"Stay by my side forever. Otherwise, I really will kill you." Jiang Mingsheng says it as casually as if she were eating or drinking, her expression utterly unchanged.

"Yes," Lin Yunzheng replies, slipping his fingers between hers and interlocking their hands.
Even as the stars shift and the seasons change, we will never part.
