A scheming, tea-loving, theatrical heroine who is an evil-subduing master x a highly intelligent, unhinged Ghost King male lead
January 1, 2068. Sunny.
I, Chi Yuyan, am the last evil-subduing master of the mystical arts. I was used to doing whatever I pleased, so I never expected to get caught off guard while hunting my archenemy and be dragged into an infinite-flow game.
What a joke. This is totally my comfort zone.
I killed every god and ghost in my path, speed-ran my way to the final instance, [Rainy Town], then hauled out the System to interrogate it about where my dear archenemy was hiding.
The System trembled and suggested I give up on the final instance, stay behind as an NPC, and look for him at my leisure.
No way.
The System: We offer health and pension benefits, room and board, a stable salary, retirement benefits, and holiday bonuses.
Me: Fine.
March 1, 2068. Overcast.
After I threatened and bribed the System, it gave me some of its permissions.
I had nothing better to do, so of course I had to stir up some trouble.
An infinite-flow player who doesn't make trouble for the System is no good NPC.
Since we're the same species, I decided to do humanity a favor: go easy on them! Flood the place!
In the beginner instance, I curled up in a corner, too weak to fend for myself. "Look up, the chandelier's about to fall..."
The crystal chandelier crashed down, smashing the ghosts to bits.
Beautiful.
March 5, 2068. Partly cloudy.
I worked until I was powerless, struggled until I moved myself to tears.
When the job was done, I walked away, leaving no trace of my name.
March 10, 2068. Light rain.
I'm done with these rookies. They don't know anything, yet act like a bunch of fools. If you don't read the rules in a rules-based horror game, aren't you just asking to die? Asking to die?
I made it so obvious that I was going easy on them, and put the clues right in front of them, but they still couldn't see a thing. They should get their eyes checked by an ophthalmologist after they get out!
Oh, I think there's actually an ophthalmologist among this bunch of rookies... Named Yu Shi?
At first glance, he looks like a harmless little flower.
He's a little smarter than the other rookies, but not by much.
April 3, 2068. Overcast.
The System is sick.
April 15, 2068. Sunny.
There's something very off about Yu Shi.
This seemingly pure little flower always manages to step right on my traps, where I'm going easy on them, even when they're in desperate straits. When he gently praises me for being amazing, a shiver-inducing darkness stirs in his eyes.
I slapped a ghost-detection talisman on him, but it didn't react?
Something's off. Very off.
But that's what makes it fun, isn't it?
1. The synopsis is from the heroine's perspective; the main story is in third person.
2. This is a power fantasy, not a horror story. The heroine is already at the peak of combat strength when she appears. She's on humanity's side, cares about nothing except hunting her archenemy, and is a delightfully chaotic troublemaker.
3. The heroine's evil-subduing master role is my own creation. I have the final say on its interpretation.
4. Both leads have secret identities. They love and fight each other, constantly trying to outdo one another's acting. Apart, each rules their own domain; together, they wreak havoc on the instances.
The heroine's name comes from: "Why did Yi shoot down the suns? Where did the crows lose their feathers?" from Qu Yuan's Questions of Heaven.
Theme: Humanity's anthem is an anthem of courage.
