[Police Academy Group] From Rookie Dad to Super Dad

Ling Xiaolu Fuyou is a university student left to fend for himself away from his family. As graduation approaches, he wears himself out working on his thesis, with his days and nights turned upside down.

The day he slept through everything, a frantic knocking woke him. A long-haired police officer with purple eyes stood outside, telling him to get downstairs immediately and take shelter.

Clutching his laptop with his thesis and the doll he'd commissioned from an artist, Ling Xiaolu Fuyou stood downstairs in his pajamas, bewildered. Then a violent explosion shook the apartment building, and flames and black smoke billowed above.

Though Ling Xiaolu Fuyou is socially anxious, he was extremely grateful to the officer. He wanted to go to the police station to thank him, only to learn that the officer had died in the line of duty that very day.

Even after moving somewhere new, he kept dreaming about that scene and waking in a panic. So he made a cotton doll modeled after the officer and held it while he slept, hoping it would make him feel a little safer.

One night, he got up for a drink of water and saw the 20-centimeter-tall officer doll trying to open the door and leave. Ling Xiaolu Fuyou asked, "Am I dreaming?"

The officer doll came over and brushed its cotton hand against its doll dad's ankle. "Could we talk?"
