[The outline needs work, but my brain isn't coming up with anything. I'll write another story first.]
Blurb
Shen Lin once experienced the freedom of performing onstage while the audience cheered his name below. But it all came crashing down when his father rushed onto the stage and kicked his bass.
Afterward, his father locked him in the house, keeping him from leaving. Shen Lin secretly repaired his bass, but never touched an instrument again.
It wasn't that he was afraid. It was just that whenever he played a note, he remembered the buzzing in his ears as his father charged onto the stage.
As the heir to the Shen family, Shen Lin was naturally forbidden from joining a band. After that incident, he lived a quiet, uneventful life, right up until college.
By chance, he came across a guitar belonging to the senior who had played guitar in his old band. Almost as if possessed, Shen Lin tried playing it.
A guitar was, after all, different from a bass. It didn't make his ears ring, but he still couldn't get the sound he wanted. What came out sounded strange and obsessive.
A video of him playing guitar was secretly recorded and posted online, where it racked up views. After all, who doesn't like watching a handsome guy play guitar?
Looking at the flood of praise in the comments, Shen Lin sneered inwardly. You think this sounds good? He plays like a mess. It sounds like neither a guitar nor a bass.
Then, on a music social app, he found an audio clip posted by someone called "V."
It was unmistakably his own playing, but the instrument had been changed to a bass. Hearing it like this only made the flaws more obvious. The sound was full of madness.
Then a true guitar sound joined in. Two currents of madness rushed in the same direction, yet somehow made the whole clip sound harmonious and beautiful.
When he went back to listen again, the clip had already been deleted.
Shen Lin secretly vowed that he would find "V" no matter what.

Band name: Venus (Morning Star/Venus)
Main CP name: Listening (Lin-Ting)
Tips:
A campus band story.
The blurb is from the gong's perspective, while the main story leans slightly toward the shou's perspective.
Not a typical band story! The college campus-to-band ratio is 4:6.
There is a side couple (listed among the supporting characters), and all couples are one-on-one.
I made the cover myself (it's awful).
The blurb is part of the story's prelude and will appear as flashback scenes in the main story (starting in Chapter One).
Guitarist and vocalist X bassist and vocalist
Aloof shou vs. veteran tsundere gong
Happy ending, both are each other's first, and they choose each other.
