She thought she'd transmigrated into a horror movie.
A short story based on a flight of fancy.
Complete.
I had a lot of fun writing this. Maybe it could turn into an anthology series, but for now, I'm marking it complete.
An irresponsible flight of fancy:
On Christmas Eve, Song Sixing went out to deliver takeout, transmigrated in terror, then somehow returned.
Song Sixing: So I transmigrated into an American horror movie!
To prepare, Song Sixing, who had a little courage but not much, tearfully crammed on American horror films.
The classics, the cult films, the masterpieces, the B-movies.
The second transmigration, the third transmigration...
Song Sixing returned to reality without a scratch, growing more and more certain of her theory.
Confident on the one hand and plagued by nightmares on the other, she expanded her movie marathon to include horror films from other countries.
Song Sixing (muted, covering her eyes): Japanese horror movies are set in such ordinary places. Who are they trying to scare to death?
Transmigrating again, she found herself facing an endless expanse of stars.
Song Sixing: ...There's something I should probably say.
What Song Sixing never could have expected was that she'd actually transmigrated into... a medley of songs?
Male lead/unspeakable force: Do you like the song I picked for you?
.
A horror-comedy vibe.
The joke is probably that the female lead and male lead are always on completely different wavelengths (?).
Worlds:
1. The Mist / The Nightmare Before Christmas x Christmas
2. Movies like Escape Room x The Killers
3. Chinatown / The Last Goodbye x MJ
4. Alien franchise x Radiohead: the male lead reveals his identity
5. Vampires x MCR and the like
6. Brave New World x The Doors / The Smiths
7. A big medley of love songs
Premise: A flight of fancy
