To prepare for spring planting, Feng Xijing begged the landlord to hire plenty of laborers. She had hoped to find capable farmers, but the village head brought her a tall, handsome young man instead.
Feng Xijing had a feeling he wouldn't last long, but there was no one else available, and she couldn't be too demanding. After hearing that he'd had a hard life, she decided to keep him on.
Who knew she'd strike gold? The young man wasn't just handsome, he had a great temperament, and, most importantly, he was a wonderful cook.
