The Farmer's Little Husband

New Novel: The Hunter's Little Husband. See below Lin Yu came alone to seek refuge at his uncle's home. Every day, he had to get up before dawn to work, and there was never enough food to fill his stomach. He hardly ever got to eat meat, either. As Lin Yu grew more and more handsome, his cousin began looking at him in increasingly unsettling ways. When his aunt found out, she married him off to a poor hunter in the neighboring village just a few days later. Lin Yu had heard that Wei Qingshan had a bad reputation, so he could only resign himself to his fate. He had expected a fierce, intimidating man who would be hard to get along with, but on their wedding day, he saw the handsome fellow standing awkwardly beside the bed and couldn't help staring. Married life wasn't as hard as Lin Yu had imagined. At least he no longer went hungry, and he didn't have to live in fear. Wei Qingshan couldn't even bear to let him do heavy work, and made sure to give him an egg every day to build him up. The two of them raised chicks and pigs behind their tumbledown thatched hut, bought farmland and a mule cart, and opened a shop. Their little life together flourished. Wei Qingshan was the eldest son, but the least favored in his family. The money he had painstakingly saved was spent by his mother on a wife for his younger brother. When Wei Qingshan fell ill, even asking for a string of cash was difficult. Disillusioned, he left the family with nothing. Somehow, word got around that he was cursed with a hard fate. He was poor, too, and had passed twenty without finding a wife. Then he married the frail young husband, and only then did he learn that meals could be served hot, beds could be warm, and his little husband could be soft... But his little husband was so thin that Wei Qingshan hardly dared move when they were in bed, afraid he might hurt him. He had to hunt more game and put some meat on his little husband's bones. --- New Novel: The Hunter's Little Husband --- Lin Xiaoliu was the third child in the Lin family. Quiet and reserved, he was easily overlooked among his sisters. From a young age, he helped a village cook's husband with the cooking to earn money for the household. One winter day, he slipped down a hillside while gathering firewood in the mountains. Luckily, a hunter passing by found him and took him home. The Lin family was troubled. If word got out, wouldn't it ruin the young man's reputation? The hunter offered to marry him, and only then did Lin Xiaoliu's parents secretly breathe a sigh of relief. Just like that, Lin Xiaoliu became Zhao Hu's husband. But only a few days after the wedding, the two of them were both thrown out of the Zhao household. They simply settled in the mountains. One hunted while the other managed the home. They built a house, raised chickens and ducks, and bought livestock. Zhao Hu wanted his husband to have a good life. Lin Xiaoliu was a skilled cook. Ginger rabbit, red-braised pork, fish braised in bean sauce, and pork bones with pickled cabbage: the little courtyard was filled with delicious aromas every day. He often went with Zhao Hu to the county seat to sell pickled vegetables, and the young couple lived in blissful comfort. After leaving the Zhao household, Zhao Hu learned that the food left for him could be hot, the quilts could be soft, and his husband was even sweeter. They picked wild greens in spring, gathered goji berries in summer, collected chestnuts in autumn, and hunted game in winter. They not only bought a courtyard in the county seat, but also opened a little restaurant... Theme: Live in harmony and friendship, and build prosperity through hard work
